WOOLHOPE YOUNG FARMERS CLUB
YFC JUNIOR ROUNDERS CHAMPIONS

Woolhope Young Farmers' Club represented Herefordshire in the National Junior Rounders Final at the Staffordshire County Showground on Saturday 13th October. The team of 10 Woolhope Juniors won the Herefordshire County round back in early July and then went on to represent Herefordshire and win at the West Midland Area competition on 15th July. This win took them straight through to compete at the National Final. Club Chairman, Catherine Hansford, travelled with the team on Saturday and was very pleased with their results, and commented on how well the team had played, with the competition judge commenting on their teamwork and tactical skills. The Club played a series of matches and, having won every match, they then went on to the Final play-off against the team from the Radnor Federation. This is the first time in many years in which Woolhope YFC have gone on to represent Herefordshire at a National level.
