Belly dance your way into The Guinness World Record book with BBC Hereford & Worcester and Pudsey.


We're going to attempt to break the world record for the  most  people  belly dancing  simultaneously on Saturday November 8th 2008 and raise money for BBC Children in Need at the same time.  All you have to do is to perform this routine non-stop for 5 minutes - it's a simple as that, so easy infact, that Pudsey himself will be taking part and TV cameras will be there to film the event. Herefordshire Youth Opportunity Fund & Youth Capital Fund

There is still money available in the pot for youth led projects and activities to be completed by 31st March 2009.  Young people aged 13-19 years can apply from the Opportunity pot for £50 up to £4,500 for activities and projects which they think are needed or would benefit young people in your area.  The kind of “activity” type things which have been funded so far are
Media projects, drama workshops, film making projects, music nights, band development days
Sports activities: football coaching, go-kart building/racing, canoeing sessions
Youth club activities: team building days, pool competitions, cycle maintenance, fashion shows
