Facts and Musings...
The blue writing opposite highlights the main dances and social activities through the year. At this point we have to say HFYFC has a Drugs and Alcohol Policy available from county office and we support responsible drinking. Always have a designated driver!
- Clubs have dances through the year, which are always memorable.
- The County Rally and Junior Field Day are the main competition days through the year.
- From singing to stockjudging and flowers to aerobics the competitons are too many to mention. There's something for everyone and if not, try something different you might just suprise yourself!
- You don't have to be a farmer to be a member... for example: stockjudging is as much about speaking confidently as knowing livestock!
- Probably less than 10% of membership are actually farming. From accountants to engineers and land agents to builders YFC emcompasses all walks of life.
- It's a cliche, to say that 'you will meet new friends'! But when you are competing with members of other clubs, you can't help but get to know them.
- As with all things in life, you get out what you put in. Whether as County Chairman or a keen club member, get involved, and you will have experiences and friends for life.
